Battery Park City

Another section of downtown which has gone through a massive transformation.
Streets are clogged with construction, tourists paying their respects to 9/11 victims
and New Yorkers seeking waterfront tranquility.
One again, the temperatures soared today, close to 80.
I sweated in a tee shirt and wondered when it will feel like Autumn.
Perhaps that's why these alterations feel so seismic.
Nothing is as it was.
Mother Nature is in a tailspin,.
The genie has been let out of the bottle on
the widespread prevalence of sexual abuse and harassment.
We have a leader with the disposition of a toddler, and questionable mental health.
Out on the street, it's nearly impossible to capture photos of people without a device in their hands.
Pedestrians are bustling down the canyons of NY with their heads down.
The site is disturbing, as is the energy.
There's a hesitation in each step, as focus is splintered from fast pedaling cyclists at intersections
to a technological world taunting for constant attention.
