Stills

The ethereal chime of my alarm was an unwelcomed sound on this sunny Saturday morning.
Nine hours of deep uninterrupted sleep and weekends of folly
are a fading landscape in my rearview mirror.
Today we shot stills for our ad campaign.
I know, in the near future, as I'm inching towards my destination in LA traffic
I'll encounter a billboard announcing Dietland with an image captured on the sound stage today
and it will all be worth it.

Locations

I've had no time for my usual NY explorations this visit.
No museums, galleries, walks across the bridge or meandering beloved neighborhoods.
Luckily, locations has taken me to uncharted regions of the metropolis.
Today we're filming on the waterfront in Long Island City.
which offers a spectacular view of the newly erected Copper Building.

Production

I've fallen into the black hole of production, again.
Everything is upside down —
day blends into night and into day again.
Sets and locations mimic the real world but exist outside of standard time.
Work is only halted by short intervals of sleep.
Set life is like a weird traveling circus of adult campers.
I love it, I truly do, but it is a cruel and unforgiving existence.
