30 Seconds to Mars

The multi-talented Jared Leto
directed this superb documentary
about his band's lawsuit with EMI.
After nine successful years with EMI, the band did not receive any revenue
and in fact, was told they owed the label several million dollars.
Citing precedent, 30 Seconds to Mars ended their contract, and moved on to
to independently finance and produce a new album.
Soon after, EMI sued them for an arbitrary 30 million dollars.
Commerce and art never mix, but this is an egregious example
of corporations solely looking at the bottom.
The TV industry often leaves a distasteful taste in my mouth, but this is truly disgusting.
Well done documentary, and I have a new favorite band.
