Snow in the mountains, rain down below. Cool temps, and a blizzard back east. I want to get cozy in bed with my book, and laptop. Reading, surfing, writing, glancing. A productive week comes to a close. The future not necessarily clearer, but the unknown more in focus.

Bullish
February Horoscope
Are you ready for some major career progress? You are such a hard worker and now it’s time for you to reap the rewards of all your hard work starting this month. VIPs and others in your industry are looking at you favorably! You may receive a promotion, bonus or an award this month. Look for news particularly after the new moon in Aquarius on the 9th. Mars is in your eleventh house of friends and long-term goals all month. Get out there, mingle, network and start manifesting your dreams. Valentine’s Day hosts the moon in Aries, your quiet twelfth house. You could be craving some one-on-one time with a special someone. If unattached, you might feel like spending a chill night in at your own home. Venus, your ruler, is traveling through Aquarius, your tenth house of career, until the 25th. Get ready for some spectacular career news! Messenger Mercury turns retrograde in Pisces, your house of friends and groups, on the 23rd. There could be a couple of misunderstandings with friends or an old friend you haven’t seen in forever could pop back into your life. A full moon in Virgo arrives on February 25th in your fifth house of romance. Many Taurus could get wrapped up in some hot, steamy, flirtatious action at this time. This full moon makes a beautiful link to transiting Pluto in Capricorn in your travel sector. You might meet “a special someone” traveling or just bopping around your own town. If you have been dating, you might hear a confession of love! Friends become your focus after the Sun shifts into Pisces on the 19th. There is no stopping you this month, Taurus, when it comes to balancing your love and professional life.

Patterns
When one door closes, another opens;
but we
often look so long and so regretfully upon the closed door
that we do
not see the one which has opened for us.

A Little Sunshine
Mustered all of my energy to leave the house this morning and go on a hike. Careful not to over exert myself, but was glad to be out in the overcast morning, on the trail brimming with buds.

The Particular Sadness of Lemon Cake
Nursing disappointment and bronchitis I probably would have benefited from a book more uplifting than The Particular Sadness of Lemon Cake. It was the next offering from my library queue so I settled in with Aimee Bender's beautiful, but melancholic prose.
