Hello NYC, Hello Christmas
My fourth and final move is under my belt.
After a month in Brooklyn, I've returned to Manhattan, the village.
A beautiful apartment between the squares known as Union and Washington
is my home away from home for the next month.
Although hauling my stuff around the boroughs was not the most efficient plan
it did allow me to explore new neighborhoods and have a variety of experiences.
I was absolutely charmed by the tranquility of Brooklyn and
the wide tree lined streets, regal brownstone stoops and small independent businesses.
The month between Thanksgiving and Christmas is typically a chaotic one
as festive cheer and gift buying gets crammed into the short days of winter.
Christmas tree lots, holiday markets, and white twinkle lights are already in full force.
But my days and nights will be about production, a frenzy that will not pause for
baking or tree trimming.
I have not regrets, DIETLAND has been incubating for 18 months.

Saturday in the Park with Scott
Our cars are near distance memories
as our feet and metro cards have become our main modes of transportation.
We walked 11 miles today from the heights of Brooklyn to the magnificent park
designed by Fredrick Law Olmstead.
It was idyllic like a fallen crimson leaf on a green lawn.
