Pie

First Day of Summer

BBQ,

I wanted to bring a peach pie.

Woke up early to buy butter and mix the dough.

While it chilled I went to yoga, then bought peaches at the

Silverlake farmers market.

Sipped a green ice tea, and ate from my favorite 

Korean stand.

Unforeseen traffic due to a boulevard closing

for a nondescript parade

threw a wrench in my carefully planned afternoon.

A normal ten minute ride took fifty.

Had to drive to the party with a hot pie on the passenger seat.
