Something is happening in Koreatown.
The transformation is more urban and international than the hipster gentrification in Los Feliz and Silverlake.
I recently had dinner at a new boutique hotel
whose inspired design aesthic is a surprising pop of trendiness
in a neighbor whose identity is rapidly morphing.
The meal at POT, named for the ubiqutous Korean dish,
was very good. Unfortunatley the atmosphere at 9pm on a Saturday night
was club-like, the music so loud conversation was comical.
Thankfully the pulsing beat was pleasing
and left me with a desire to go out dancing, instead of a headache.
